The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDC), Lagos State Command, Eweka Douglas Okoro, has been awarded the ‘most outstanding Commandant in Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for the year 2021.
A statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, (PRO) Aboluri Oluwaseun Olumide, made available to the National Association of Online Security Reporters (NAOSRE) says the award was presented by the Cornel Media Consult (CMC) Africa Awards of Excellence at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos state.
According to the statement, the Commandant was graciously selected and invited by the CMC Gladiators group to receive the award, on their 5th Anniversary Edition, which was graced by the presence of media icons, government functionaries and legislators from across the country as well as people from different walks of life home and abroad.
The statement noted that Commandant Eweka was also honoured alongside the Command’s PRO, Assistant Superintendent of Corps (ASCI) Olumide, who got the most outstanding Public Relations Officer in Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for the year 2021, in public speaking and image making.
The Commandant, seized the opportunity of the 5th Edition of the CMC Award Celebration, to appreciate the convener and the founder of the CMC Africa Awards of Excellence and CMC Gladiators group, Ambassador Cornel Udofia and the organising and planning committee of the award for his selection for such an award and reiterated his unflinching commitment to ensuring that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, continues to improve upon the existing and laudable security architecture in the state.
He promised to work in unison with the military, Police, security agencies and all relevant stakeholders in the state, to secure lives and property.
