DMCA Introduces Uninterrupted Electric Power Solution for Nigerian Market

By Barnabas Esiet.

DMCA Energy Nigeria Limited has unveiled a new uninterrupted electric power product designed to address Nigeria’s persistent power outages and energy crisis.

The Chief Executive Officer of DMCA, Amabi Christopher, disclosed this at a joint press conference held in Lagos. The event was attended by the National President of the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Jani Ibrahim; the Director-General of NACCIMA, Dr. Sola Obadimu; representatives of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN); and the company’s internal consultant,  Oyefunke Owuru.

Christopher, an engineer and inventor of the product, explained that the power solution operates solely on hydraulic technology, making it more affordable and efficient compared to solar and other conventional energy systems. He said the system does not require diesel, gas, petrol, generators, or routine technical maintenance.

According to him, the product has already been patented and is currently being made available for testing, with 100 units deployed to selected users on a postpaid basis for performance verification.

He added that the technology has been in continuous use at his factory in South Africa, where it has reportedly provided uninterrupted electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the past five years.

Reacting to the presentation, NACCIMA President Jani Ibrahim, Dr. Sola Obadimu, and representatives of MAN expressed optimism about the innovation.

They noted, however, that the product would undergo thorough testing and evaluation, assuring DMCA that once its efficiency and reliability are confirmed, further steps would be taken toward adopting the solution to help tackle Nigeria’s epileptic power supply.
