The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been recognised as one of the top five best-performing Federal Government agencies for 2025 under the Transparency and Efficiency Category.
The award was presented by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) at a ceremony held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
The NCC was recognised for its commitment to openness, accountability, and operational excellence in public service delivery.
The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida, received the award on behalf of the Commission and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to sustaining transparency and accountability in its regulatory approach.
Maida noted that the recognition is a validation of the Commission’s values and a challenge to deepen its commitment to the Nigerian people.
He assured that the NCC will continue to work towards creating an environment that attracts investment and sustains healthy competition, ensuring that telecom consumers receive the highest quality of service.
The PEBEC Director-General, Zahrah Mustapha-Audu, said the event was organized to celebrate reform champions and highlight progress made in improving the country’s business climate.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, who chairs the PEBEC council, commended the awardees, saying that the recognition reflects the government’s commitment to a more efficient and competitive public service.
