Telecom giant, Airtel Network Ltd., has come up with innovative measures to cushion the adverse effects of the nationwide lockdown, occasioned by the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), on households and businesses in the country.
In a statement, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Segun Ogunsanya, listed some of the measures taken by Airtel to support work from home in keeping customers and the country connected during this period.
According to the statement, Airtel has introduced the 4GMifi and Routers connecting up to 32 devices, linking people to their clients, associates, friends and loved ones.
The company has also introduced Bundles to lessen the pain of those in quarantine. “We’ve introduced attractive data bundles on video calls, so you can conduct meetings and conferences remotely, also double the data everytime you top-up a 4G connection.” Ogunsanya said.
Other products and services include Aitrtel TV and Airtel App.”
While you are at home you can entertain yourself with the Airtel TV App. It brings a world of entertainment straight to your phone and is free for all Airtel users with no subscription fees, with MY AIRTEL APP you no longer have to step out to recharge or top-up your phone.” The statement read.
The Airtel boss sympathized with everyone who had been affected by the virus either directly or indirectly while pledging to keep its partners and employees safe.
At this point, we know that our first priority must be you and your family’s health and well-being, and we hope you stay safe and healthy, at the same time, our hearts go out to those at the front line: medical staff and caregivers who put themselves at risk to do all it takes to serve others.” The company CEO said.
