Corpreneurhip Initiative: Unity Bank Invests Over N100 Million, Empowers 400 Graduates

Unity Bank’s Corpreneurship Initiative has empowered 400 graduates in Nigeria with over N100 million in business grants over the past five years.

The initiative, otherwise called ‘Corpreneurship Challenge’ launched in 2019, aims to support young entrepreneurs and drive economic growth.

The program launched, In partnership with the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), in 2019 with pilots in four states, features a business pitch presentation where participants can win business grants.

Now operating in 10 states with 30 winners emerging, the Bank has increased the prize money to N16 million per stream, with winners receiving N800,000, N500,000, and N300,000 for the top three positions.

The program has made a significant impact in the business space, supporting budding entrepreneurs with mentorship, skills development, and financial backing.

Divisional Head, Digital Banking and Fintech Partnerships, at Unity Bank, Olufunwa Akinmade, led the pioneer team that designed the initiative and launched the pilot.
