The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has charged young officers of the Service to embrace innovation, discipline, and resilience as they advance in their careers.
Represented by the Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Greg Itotoh, Adeniyi gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of 50 students of Junior Course 22 at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, on August 22, 2025.
Itotoh congratulated the graduates, attributing their success to hard work, resilience, and dedication to maintaining the high level of discipline demanded by the institution.
He urged them to apply the lessons learned to practical outcomes in their daily assignments and to face challenges with courage and determination.
The Customs boss emphasized that the Service prioritizes innovation under Adeniyi’s leadership and encouraged the officers to take on tasks that improve efficiency and strengthen the Service’s global standing.
The Commandant of the College, Oluyomi Adebakin, noted that the graduating officers had undergone rigorous training focused on leadership, discipline, and professional development.
Outstanding participants were recognized in leadership, discipline, marksmanship, and academic excellence categories. All 50 graduating students received certificates, signifying their successful course completion.
The commandant urged them to serve as “good ambassadors” of the College as they returned to their Commands.
The graduation ceremony marked another milestone in the College’s mission to groom officers for higher responsibilities.
The officers are expected to apply their skills and knowledge to contribute to the Service’s growth and development.
