The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) sends warm congratulations to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on its 49th anniversary of the ECOWAS Treaty signing.
For nearly five decades, ECOWAS has been a driving force in promoting economic integration, political stability, and social advancement in West Africa.
Despite facing challenges such as political unrest, economic fluctuations, and health crises, ECOWAS has remained steadfast in its mission to enhance regional cooperation and development.
In a statement, Gabriel Idahosa, President and Chairman of Council LCCI, praised ECOWAS for its unwavering commitment and recognized the significant progress made in advancing regional integration and cooperation.
“These efforts have been crucial in boosting economic growth, facilitating trade, and improving the lives of millions in West Africa,” Idahosa remarked.
LCCI reiterates its support for ECOWAS in overcoming current challenges and achieving its vision of a more integrated and prosperous West African region.
The Chamber believes that through continued collaboration and determination, economic stability, sustainable development, and peace are attainable goals.
LCCI looks forward to many more years of successful partnership and progress within the ECOWAS community.
