The Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) has announced its readiness to host the 2024 Financial Literacy Summit in Lagos on Friday.
The summit, with the theme “Financial Literacy in a Digital Era: Catching Them Young,” will take place at the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos on June 14, 2024, starting at 10am.
The summit aims to raise financial awareness among youths and senior secondary school students in Nigeria, beginning with Lagos State. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to effectively manage their finances now and in the future, promoting a culture of savings, investment, and efficient funds utilization.
Speakers at the event will include Dr. Tunde Ahmed Pooola, Group MD/CEO of CRC Credit Bureau, and Comptroller Dera Nnadi, Customs Area Controller at TinCan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, along with other financial experts.
They will share insights and experiences on financial issues to broaden the participants’ understanding.
FiBOP, a national association of online publishers, aims to promote economic development through informed and balanced reporting.
The summit aligns with FiBOP’s vision of equipping future generations with the tools to navigate a dynamic economic and political landscape.
Prominent organizations such as Fidelity Bank, Polaris Bank, Sterling Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA), and Ecobank will also participate in the summit, contributing their expertise and resources to enhance its impact.
FiBOP invites other organizations to partner with them in supporting the growth and development of Nigeria’s financial economy.
