NESCAFÉ Expands Reach with New Kiosk at Ojo Bus Terminal in Ibadan

NESCAFÉ has expanded its footprint in Oyo State with the launch of a new kiosk at Ojo Bus Terminal in Ibadan, reinforcing its strategy to bring its coffee offerings closer to Nigerians in high-traffic locations.

The new outlet, situated within the busy transport hub, is designed to serve commuters, drivers and traders who begin their day at the terminal.

The initiative aligns with the brand’s focus on embedding itself in everyday routines by providing quick and convenient access to coffee in transit environments.

According to terminal manager Adisa Olumide, the introduction of the kiosk has enhanced the daily experience for passengers and operators.

He noted that commuters can now access quality coffee without leaving the park, adding that feedback has been positive, particularly regarding the product’s taste and prompt service.

Speaking on behalf of Nestlé Professional, Channels Manager Ibraheem Awelenje described the initiative as part of the company’s commitment to delivering beverage solutions to Nigerians wherever they are.

He said the activation strengthens NESCAFÉ’s longstanding promise of helping consumers “start strong and finish strong.”

The kiosk currently offers NESCAFÉ 3-in-1 Original and NESCAFÉ Classic, with plans to expand the menu to include MILO in the coming months. Operations are conducted in line with the company’s food safety and hygiene standards.

Jean-Pierre Duplan, Category Manager for Coffee, said the launch demonstrates how the brand continues to strengthen its presence in everyday, high-traffic environments by positioning itself closer to consumers with busy routines.

Beyond improving accessibility, the initiative also supports entrepreneurship through Nestlé’s My Own Business (MYOWBU) scheme.

The Ojo Bus Terminal kiosk is operated by a local entrepreneur who has been part of the programme for over a decade. The venture has created two direct jobs and includes ongoing training in hygiene practices and business management.

The operator described the opportunity as a significant milestone, noting that years of service as an attendant had culminated in business ownership through the NESCAFÉ kiosk initiative.

Sustainability measures have also been incorporated into the operation. The kiosk uses recyclable cups and promotes responsible waste management, with staff trained on proper disposal practices and encouraging customers to do the same.

Nestle Nigeria, the parent company of NESCAFÉ, says the expansion reflects its broader commitment to enhancing quality of life through accessible food and beverage offerings.

The company’s portfolio in Nigeria includes brands such as NESTLÉ PURELIFE, GOLDEN MORN, MILO, MAGGI and NESCAFÉ.
