Fidelity Bank Offers Two-Minute Digital Route for Dangote Refinery IPO Subscription

Investors seeking to participate in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO) can complete their subscription in less than two minutes through Fidelity Bank’s digital channels, the bank has announced.

The bank said it has introduced multiple subscription channels to accommodate existing customers, corporate organisations and non-customers in Nigeria and abroad.

Available options include the Fidelity Bank iOS and Android mobile applications, corporate banking platform and designated Fidelity Bank branches nationwide.

A key feature of the initiative is the availability of Virtual Accounts for investors who do not have Fidelity Bank accounts.

According to the bank, non-customers in Nigeria and abroad can initiate their IPO subscriptions through the Fidelity Bank website, receive dedicated Virtual Account details and fund their applications from an existing operational bank account.

The Virtual Account option enables prospective investors to participate in the offer without first opening a regular Fidelity Bank account.

The facility also supports third-party-funded subscriptions, providing non-customers with an additional digital route to participate in the IPO.

Existing retail customers can subscribe through the Fidelity Bank Mobile App, while corporate customers can use the bank’s corporate online banking platform, subject to the applicable inputter and authoriser process.

For investors requiring additional assistance, the bank said support is available through its branches and Fidelity TrueServe.

Investors can contact TrueServe by calling 070034335489, sending a WhatsApp message to 09030005252, or emailing trueserve@fidelitybank.ng.

The bank said dedicated personnel are available around the clock to assist intending subscribers and facilitate the application process.

Investors are required to provide relevant identification and account information, which may include a Bank Verification Number (BVN) for non-Fidelity Bank account holders and a National Identification Number (NIN) for minors.

Fidelity Bank customers are also expected to have an active operational account or online banking profile.

The bank further said investors without an existing Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) account can still participate in the IPO.

According to the statement, investors may open a stockbroking account through Fidelity Securities Limited, which will facilitate the electronic crediting of allotted shares after the completion of the allotment process.

Upon successful authorisation of a subscription, the investor’s designated account will be debited or the assigned Virtual Account funded, depending on the subscription channel used.

Investors will subsequently receive a confirmation message, transaction reference and receipt as evidence of their application.

The initiative, Fidelity Bank said, reflects its commitment to expanding access to Nigeria’s capital market through simple, inclusive and technology-driven investment solutions.

The bank, however, advised prospective investors to carefully review the approved Offer Prospectus before making an investment decision.

It said the prospectus contains important information on eligibility requirements, offer price, minimum subscription, permissible multiples, offer period and other terms governing the Dangote Refinery IPO.
