NACCIMA Revives Nigeria-China Business Forum to Boost Bilateral Trade

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has renewed its commitment to deepening Nigeria-China business relations.

This move comes as the organization prepares to host a Business Forum in Guangzhou, China.

NACCIMA’s deligation, led by President Engr. Dr. Jani Ibrahim, held a closed-door meeting with the Nigerian Consul General in Guangzhou, Ambassador Collins Onwueke. The meeting marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s business representation in China.

Dr. Ibrahim emphasised NACCIMA’s strategic focus on connecting Nigerian businesses to global opportunities, with China being a key player in its global trade strategy.

He reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of a “private-sector-driven economy” and NACCIMA’s role in linking Nigerian entrepreneurs with international opportunities.

The NACCIMA President proposed a structured partnership between NACCIMA and the Nigerian Consulate in China, which would include regular delegation exchanges and curated business missions.

He also announced that NACCIMA would establish a dedicated China Relations Desk at its Secretariat to strengthen communication and follow-up on agreed initiatives.

Dr. Ibrahim further noted that China has demonstrated focus, technology, and commitment, and it’s time for Nigeria to move from a buyer-seller relationship to deeper collaboration.

He extended an invitation to the Consul General to attend NACCIMA’s upcoming Business Forum in Nigeria, emphasising the importance of structured engagement between Nigerian and Chinese businesses.
