Many Hair Dye Contains a Harmful Ingredient called PPD….
What Is PPD?
Well PPD stands for ParaPhenylenediamine….
p-Phenylenediamine is primarily used as a dye intermediate and as a dye.
Any Permanent Hair Dye Contains paraphenylenediamine (PPD). Even many semipermanent dyes, lasting through 8-12 shampooings, contain PPD. The only dyes that do not reliably contain PPD are the temporary hair dyes that only last through one shampooing, which most women do not find satisfactorily as the hair needs to be redyed each time it is clean
Dangers Of PPD?
Acute (short-term) exposure to high levels of p-phenylenediamine may cause severe dermatitis, eye irritation and tearing, asthma, gastritis, renal failure, vertigo, tremors, convulsions, and coma..
PPD containing hair dyes have been associated with cancer …
PPD is considered an Allergen. If you’re allergic to PPD, your scalp and face may feel itchy and start to swell. PPD may also trigger symptoms throughout your body, such as itching, a nettle rash and generally feeling ill. These symptoms may not develop until hours, or even days, later.
Through our skin or hair follicles, compounds in hair dye could get into our bloodstream. That’s potentially worrisome, because a lot of the chemicals in hair dye are known or suspected to cause cancer….
So if you MUST use a Hair Dye, Then DO NOT buy any Containing This Harmful Ingredient Called Paraphenylenediamine…..
If You Search And Can Not Find , Then It May Just Be A Way Of Telling You To Stay Away From Hair Dyes….
