…Targets growing luxury and fashion accessories market with locally crafted, imported collections
MAKEMS Jewellery & Fashion has unveiled its flagship jewellery showroom in Abuja, marking a major step in the company’s expansion drive and its ambition to strengthen its presence in Nigeria’s jewellery and fashion accessories market.
The showroom, officially opened on Saturday, November 7, 2026, is located at House 12, A Close, Road 11, 1st Avenue, Efab City Estate, Life Camp, Abuja.
The facility offers a wide range of premium handcrafted Nigerian-made and imported jewellery collections designed to cater to customers across different social classes, age groups and lifestyle preferences.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Director of Business Development, Temitope Adejare, said the showroom reflected the company’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, creativity and customer satisfaction.
She described the facility as more than a retail outlet, saying it was designed to provide customers with a distinctive jewellery experience that combines beauty, identity, confidence and elegance.
“The opening of our showroom is more than the unveiling of a retail space. It is the creation of a jewellery experience where beauty, identity, confidence and elegance come together,” Adejare said.
She added that the company was committed to providing Nigerians with unique jewellery pieces suitable for corporate, social, cultural, religious and personal occasions.
The showroom features an extensive collection of handmade necklaces, earrings, bracelets, bangles, rings, brooches, gemstone accessories, male jewellery, bridal sets, traditional wedding ornaments and bespoke designs.
It also offers luxury-inspired collections, custom-made jewellery and carefully selected pieces featuring ethically sourced gemstones.
According to the company, its collections are designed to combine durability, elegance and contemporary fashion trends while drawing inspiration from African cultural heritage.
The showroom is expected to serve customers seeking accessories for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, corporate engagements, red-carpet appearances, festive celebrations and other special occasions.
Adejare said the opening represented an important milestone in MAKEMS’ ambition to become a recognised brand in Africa’s jewellery industry.
“Our vision is to make luxury, elegance and exceptional craftsmanship accessible to everyone. Whether you are looking for a subtle piece that reflects your personality or a bold statement accessory that commands attention, our showroom provides an unmatched selection for every taste and occasion,” she said.
She noted that the company was also committed to promoting local content through the production of quality Nigerian-made jewellery, complemented by selected imported collections.
This approach, she said, would help strengthen local craftsmanship, create employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy.
Beyond its retail offerings, the showroom provides personalised services, including expert style consultations, recommendations for custom jewellery designs and access to exclusive collections.
The company said its products were targeted at a broad customer base, including jewellery enthusiasts, collectors, fashion lovers, brides, corporate executives and families seeking quality accessories.
With the opening of the Abuja facility, MAKEMS is positioning itself to expand its reach and provide customers with jewellery collections that combine craftsmanship, style, affordability and contemporary luxury.
The company has invited residents of Abuja and customers from other parts of the country to visit the showroom and explore its collections.
