NIMASA Management Defends 2026 Budget at National Assembly

The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, recently engaged with members of the House of Representatives during the 2026 budget defence session, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and the sustainable development of Nigeria’s maritime sector.

During the session, members of the House Committee on Maritime Safety, Education and Administration closely examined NIMASA’s budget proposals and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing maritime safety, regulatory compliance, and sector growth.

Dr. Mobereola emphasised the agency’s strategic priorities, highlighting key programmes designed to strengthen maritime operations, improve revenue generation, and ensure the sector contributes meaningfully to the national economy.
