Fidelity Bank Plc has announced plans to host a high-level stakeholders’ webinar aimed at addressing revenue generation challenges within Nigeria’s public sector.
The virtual session, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, is themed “Digital Fiscal Transparency: Unlocking Sub-national Opportunities for International Partners.”
It is expected to convene public sector leaders, development institutions, heads of government agencies and parastatals, as well as financial experts to explore practical strategies for improving public finance management.
According to the bank, the webinar will focus on strengthening revenue systems, enhancing fiscal transparency, and deploying smarter digital frameworks for collections, oversight, and accountability.
Speaking ahead of the event, Divisional Head, Public Sector at Fidelity Bank, Richard Madiebo, said the initiative was driven by the increasing need for public institutions to boost internally generated revenue while maintaining public trust.
He noted that ongoing macroeconomic and microeconomic pressures have compelled many government agencies to operate more efficiently despite limited resources, making fiscal transparency a critical priority.
Madiebo explained that the session would highlight how digital platforms can support structured invoicing, seamless revenue collection, payment automation, transparent contractor disbursements, and real-time monitoring of government revenues.
The webinar will also address persistent challenges confronting public institutions, including revenue leakages, fragmented collection systems, weak revenue visibility, and poor reconciliation processes.
Participants are expected to gain insights into how modern revenue infrastructure can improve efficiency, accountability, and overall fiscal outcomes.
Madiebo added that the initiative aligns with the bank’s broader commitment to supporting public sector transformation and sub-national development.
Interested participants have been invited to register for the webinar through the bank’s official website.
