The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dayo Mobereola, has extended greetings to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, calling for renewed commitment to unity, compassion, and national service.
In a statement marking the end of the Ramadan fast, Mobereola described the period as one of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and devotion, noting that its lessons remain essential for national development and peaceful coexistence.
He urged Nigerians to embrace values such as selflessness, discipline, and unity, stressing that these principles are vital in strengthening social cohesion in a diverse country like Nigeria.
“As we celebrate the end of the holy month of fasting, may this season of sacrifice, reflection, and unity fill our hearts with gratitude and strengthen our bonds as one people. May this Eid bring peace, prosperity, and renewed hope to our nation,” he said.
The NIMASA boss also encouraged citizens to reflect on the importance of empathy, charity, and communal harmony, urging collective efforts toward building a safer and more prosperous society.
He further called on Nigerians to continue upholding the ideals of service to humanity and national development beyond the festive period.
