The Finance and Business Online Publishers (FiBOP) will host its 2026 Annual Conference on October 17 and 18 in Lagos, bringing together policymakers, regulators, investors and business leaders to examine pathways towards Nigeria’s $1 trillion economy target.
The two-day conference, scheduled for Orchids Hotel, Lekki, is themed: “Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Potential: Taxation, Industry, Insurance, Fintech, Trade & Investment as Catalysts for Nigeria’s $1 Trillion Vision.”
FiBOP said discussions would focus on key sectors driving economic transformation, including taxation, industrialisation, insurance, fintech, trade and investment.
The conference will also examine fiscal reforms, manufacturing, SMEs, financial inclusion, digital payments, export growth, intra-African trade, port efficiency and strategies for attracting local and foreign investment.
Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Barnabas Esiet, said the event would provide stakeholders with an opportunity to examine Nigeria’s economic direction and develop practical recommendations for growth, investment and national development.
FiBOP President, Charles Onwuatogwu, said the conference would help bridge the gap between policy and practice while generating actionable ideas to unlock Nigeria’s economic potential.
The association said the event is expected to attract regulators, policymakers, chief executives, investors, development partners and heads of government agencies.
