The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has postponed the inaugural edition of its Public Relations, Reputation, Ideas, Concepts and Excellence (PRICE) Awards to January 25, 2026. The event was initially slated for December 7, 2025.
According to a statement signed by Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, Vice Chairman of the NIPR Annual PRICE Awards and Prizes 202 the Institute, the postponement is intended to accommodate stakeholders whose end-of-year activities and early commencement of the Christmas season may hinder full participation.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Israel Opayemi, urged stakeholders to take note of the new date and adjust their plans accordingly.
He assured that the awards ceremony would be a motivating platform for practitioners, academics and organisations, while contributing to Nigeria’s visibility and competitiveness in the global public relations space.
Opayemi reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to delivering a best-in-class awards administration and ceremony in January.
The PRICE Awards, conceived as a credible platform to recognise and celebrate excellence in public relations across sectors, reached a major development phase in September 2025 when the NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, inaugurated a 12-member organising committee.
The move followed the Council’s adoption of recommendations by a technical team tasked with designing the award framework.
The statement announcing the new date was signed by Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, Vice Chairman of the NIPR Annual PRICE Awards and Prizes 2025.
