Transquest Media Group is set to honour Olufemi Orioye, a media practitioner and community leader, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the development of the media profession and his community.
The event is scheduled to take place on December 6, 2025, at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, as part of the organisation’s 20th-anniversary celebrations.
Transquest Media Group noted that the decision to honour Orioye is based on his exceptional performance, professional conduct, and dedication to his media practice.
As a staff member of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) Abeokuta, Orioye has won numerous awards, including the Merit Award for Outstanding Media Practice.
The event will also feature a one-day transport seminar and Quest Awardees’ event, with the theme “Attaining Africa’s Trade/Maritime Hub: Leveraging Nigeria’s Maritime Potentials to Drive Economic Growth.”
The seminar will be chaired by Professor Bamidele Badejo, with Professor Iyiola Oni of the University of Lagos as a guest speaker.
The organisers believe that Orioye’s achievements and contributions to the media profession and his community make him a deserving recipient of this honour.
The event aims to recognise and celebrate outstanding individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective fields.
