CAMCAN Set to Host Workshop on ISA 2025 and Nigeria’s Investment Climate

The Capital Market Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CAMCAN) is gearing up to host its 2025 annual workshop, a key platform for dialogue and policy direction in Nigeria’s capital market and economy.

The workshop, scheduled for December 6-7, 2025, at Orchid Hotels, Ajah, Lagos, will focus on the theme “Regulatory Reforms: ISA 2025 and Nigeria’s Investment Climate.”

The workshop will highlight the significance of the forthcoming Investments and Securities Act (ISA) 2025 in driving market depth, efficiency, and innovation.

According to CAMCAN’s Chairman, Friday Ekeoba, the Act will strengthen the Securities and Exchange Commission’s regulatory objectives, powers, and functions, ultimately advancing market governance and aligning Nigeria with international best practices.

The two-day event is expected to convene regulators, market operators, economists, bank executives, and other stakeholders for strategic discussions on the evolving investment climate.

Key dignitaries, including the Director-General of the SEC, Dr. Emomotimi Agama, and the Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Umaru Kwairanga, will attend the workshop.

Fidelity Bank, FMDQ Group, United Bank for Africa, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) are among the sponsors of the event.

Other sponsors include NGX Group, Securities and Exchange Commission, Seplat Energy, Oando, Zenith Bank, Access Corporation, FBN Holdings, United Capital, FCMB, VFD Group, and Nestlé Nigeria.

The workshop aims to contribute to ongoing conversations around economic stability, investor protection, and market modernisation.

The deliberations and recommendations arising from the workshop are expected to guide policy adjustments and industry strategies geared toward building a stronger financial system and a more resilient capital market.
