Dangote Recommits to Nigeria’s Full Industrialisation at Lagos Trade Fair

Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has reaffirmed its commitment to driving the Industrialisation of Nigeria and the African continent.

The company’s Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, Fatima Aliko Dangote, made this known at the Dangote Special Day held at the ongoing 2025 Lagos International Trade Fair.

Fatima Dangote emphasised that Industrialisation is the most viable path to value addition, economic diversification, and large-scale job creation for Nigeria’s youth.

She highlighted the company’s plans to expand its Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s capacity from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day by 2028.

The Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, Ravindra Singhvi, unveiled two new categories of Dangote Sugar pack – the 100ml sachet and 25kg bag.

He announced ambitious plans for two major projects focused on producing sugar from Nigeria, by Nigerians, and for Nigerians.

The President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Gabriel Idahosa, described Dangote Industries Limited as a worthy partner that has been pivotal to the success of the Chamber over the years.

He commended the company’s visionary leadership and commitment to industrialisation.

The LCCI President expressed appreciation for the collaboration and support extended to the Chamber by Dangote Industries Limited.

He reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to fostering partnerships, promoting policy advocacy, and creating platforms that enable businesses and industries to thrive.
