Zenith Bank Plc and Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) have been recognised as leaders in gender policy compliance by the MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame (WoFHoF) Initiative.
The two financial institutions were awarded the Corporate Leadership Award for Gender Policy Compliance, following an independent assessment of 24 commercial and six non-interest banks.
The assessment, which evaluated publicly available data from the banks’ websites and social media platforms, noted that only five banks met the criteria of publishing three consecutive years of annual and sustainability reports in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) gender policy and corporate governance guidelines.
Zenith Bank and GTCO were recognised for their commitment to gender equality and compliance with the CBN’s target of 30% female representation on boards and 40% in management positions.
Zenith Bank was nominated as the Best Gender-Diversity, Equality, and Inclusive (DEI) Bank in Nigeria, while GTCO emerged as the Best CBN Gender Policy Compliant Bank in Nigeria for 2025.
The MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame Initiative is set to host a one-day event on November 20, 2025, at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, themed “Fostering Sustainability, Women and Leadership with Technologies.”
The event will feature a summit, induction ceremony, and leadership awards night, with Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State set to chair the occasion.
