Nigeria Customs Service Strengthens Ties with Nigeria Police Force

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has taken a significant step towards enhancing inter-agency collaboration by hosting the newly appointed Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin, at its Headquarters in Abuja.

The visit, which took place on September 17, 2025, underscores the NCS’s commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with other security agencies.

The National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Assistant Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, welcomed CSP Hundeyin and offered guidance on navigating the challenges of public relations in a security environment.

AC Maiwada emphasized the importance of teamwork, building a committed team, and harnessing the energy of young officers.

He also stressed the need for professionalism, commitment, and resilience in safeguarding the reputation of institutions. “Ours is a transient responsibility, but what truly matters is the legacy we leave behind,” he added.

CSP Hundeyin expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of security communication in advancing collective national goals.

He called for closer collaboration with the NCS, stating that security communication cannot succeed in isolation.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Public Relations Sub-unit and the Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN), where CSP Hundeyin was introduced to the Service’s expanding communication infrastructure.

This development highlights the NCS’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with other security agencies to achieve collective national goals.
