Okpe Leaders to Meet in Lagos to Discuss Development, Security, and Quality of Life

Leaders from the Okpe community around the world are set to gather in Lagos on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, for the 94th Okpe Union General Assembly.

The Secretary General of the Okpe Union, Barrister Kingsley Akpederin, announced the meeting, which will be held at Okpe House, 65 Moshalashi Street, Obalende, Lagos.

Approximately 300 delegates from Okpe Union branches across Asia, North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Australia will be in attendance.

Akpederin emphasized the importance of addressing key issues such as development, security, and improving the quality of life for Okpe people worldwide.

The conference aims to brainstorm innovative strategies to promote sustainable development and enhance the well-being of the community.

Delegates will assess the current state of the Okpe Union, discuss political, social, and cultural challenges, and propose actionable solutions for advancing development initiatives in Delta State.

Key topics on the agenda include good governance, socio-economic progress, and ways to advocate for Okpe interests on a global scale.

The conference will feature a State of the Union address by the President General, reports from various branches and regions of the Okpe Union, as well as discussions on the state of the Nigerian Nation and Delta State.
