The German Consul General to Lagos, Weert Börner, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) in Lagos yesterday.
Börner was accompanied by Member of German Federal Parliament, Mr. Armand Zorn, and met with top NGX officials, including Group Managing Director/CEO, Temi Popoola, and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Exchange Limited, Jude Chiemeka.
The visit is seen as a gesture of strengthening diplomatic ties between Germany and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.
The NGX Group and German Consulate General have previously engaged in discussions on promoting sustainable trade and economic development.
The meeting is expected to explore potential areas of cooperation between Nigerian and German businesses, including trade facilitation, investment promotion, and capacity building.
As the Nigerian economy continues to grow, partnerships with international institutions and governments can play a crucial role in driving economic development and promoting sustainable practices.
