Farida Ahmed Bags AMJON Award, Calls for Global Harmony

A humanitarian entrepreneur and global peace advocate, Dr. Prevail Farida Olayinka Ahmed, has called for greater unity and peaceful collaboration across all sectors of the economy.

Ahmed made the call in her goodwill message at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON), held in Apapa, Lagos, on Thursday. She urged stakeholders to conduct their activities in harmony and embrace charitable initiatives for societal development.

The event also recognised Ahmed as one of its top awardees, in acknowledgment of her contributions to humanitarian causes and global advocacy for peace.

She was introduced as the Founder and Global President of the Peace, Progress and Unity Global Initiative (PPUGI) and the Farida Charity Foundation.

Ahmed also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Lumiere Link International Nigeria, Chief Executive Officer of LP Events & More, and Managing Director/CEO of PFA Consulting Firm.

A Global Peace Ambassador and ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, she is noted for her advocacy in men’s mental health and youth development. Her leadership has earned her fellowships from international institutions, including CUPAG USA and ILMMD UK.

Ahmed has led several initiatives focused on community development, education, and health awareness, earning her recognition as a sought-after public speaker on leadership and empowerment.

Her accolades include the Golden Role Model Award, among others, reflecting her commitment to humanitarian service and sustainable development.

 

Speaking after receiving the award, Ahmed expressed appreciation to AMJON and attendees for the honour, noting that the recognition further reinforces her dedication to humanitarian causes.
