NIMASA DG Celebrates Maritime Workforce, Pledges Continued Support

The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has congratulated maritime stakeholders across the country on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day.

Mobereola commended the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of workers and stakeholders in the maritime sector, noting that their efforts have continued to play a vital role in the growth and development of Nigeria’s maritime industry.

In a statement, the NIMASA boss expressed appreciation to personnel in the sector for their commitment to excellence and service delivery. He acknowledged their daily contributions, describing them as critical to sustaining operations and advancing the industry.

He further reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to its regulatory responsibilities, particularly in overseeing maritime labour activities in line with existing regulations and global standards.

Mobereola added that NIMASA would continue to align its operations with the objectives of the 2026 Workers’ Day theme, which focuses on promoting safety, dignity, and productivity within the workforce.
