Haske Draws Massive Support at APC Zonal Congress, Signals Rising Political Momentum

The zonal congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State turned into a vibrant political spectacle as supporters of governorship aspirant Abdulrahman Bashir Haske staged a strong show of solidarity, underscoring his growing influence within party ranks.

What began as a routine party gathering quickly evolved into a high-energy event shortly after the congress commenced at about 3:30 p.m., with Haske arriving alongside party stalwarts, youth mobilisers, and grassroots leaders.

The venue was soon flooded with enthusiastic supporters wielding placards, posters, and banners, while chanting slogans such as “Haske Maganin Duhu” and “Haske Is Okay,” in a display widely interpreted as a sign of his rising political traction.

Observers noted that the scale of mobilisation and the electrifying reception accorded Haske point to increasing grassroots backing and a strengthening foothold within the party’s structure, positioning him as a key figure in the lead-up to the Adamawa State governorship race.

Political analysts also believe the visible enthusiasm surrounding his presence reflects a broader appetite within the party for emerging leaders and fresh ideas.

Addressing supporters and party stakeholders, Haske called for unity across all levels of the APC, urging members nationwide to rally behind the party ahead of its National Convention scheduled for March 27–28, 2026.

He described the convention as a critical platform for reinforcing party cohesion and shaping its strategic direction ahead of future electoral contests.
