Nigeria’s technology-driven Credit Rating Agency, DataPro, has announced March 26, 2026, as the date for its annual virtual training programme for media practitioners.
The initiative, introduced in 2021 as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is aimed at enhancing public understanding of the credit rating industry and its value to investors.
According to the organisers, the training will bring together participants from the print and electronic media, capital market editors, financial analysts, communication officers, and financial industry influencers.
Speaking ahead of the programme, the Executive Director/Chief Rating Officer of DataPro, Mr. Oladele Adeoye, emphasised the importance of adapting financial reporting to evolving technologies.
He noted that the theme of this year’s training, “Reporting Financial Analysis in the Age of AI,” reflects the changing landscape of journalism and finance.
“Financial reporting is no longer just about numbers; it is about trust, transparency, and resilience.
In the age of AI, media practitioners must be equipped to interpret dynamic data and communicate it in ways that empower society,” Adeoye said.
He added that the training is designed to provide participants with practical knowledge of how artificial intelligence tools are transforming financial reporting and analysis.
In addition to the media training, DataPro also hosts its International Credit Rating Webinar every October as part of its ongoing efforts to promote awareness and understanding of the credit rating industry.
