PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has reported a 22 per cent increase in revenue to N260.46 billion for the financial year ended May 31, 2026, up from N212.63 billion recorded in the previous year.
The company also recorded a 349 per cent growth in profit after tax to N45.2 billion, compared with the preceding year.
The Board of Directors, in a statement issued by the Company Secretary, Oghenekevwe Ogefere, proposed a dividend of N2.50 per share, subject to shareholders’ approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for October 28, 2026.
According to the audited financial results, recurring operating profit rose by 117 per cent to N37.1 billion, while total operating profit increased to N77.1 billion.
The company attributed the performance to improved underlying business operations and non-recurring income, principally from scrap sales and gains on the disposal of non-core assets.
Ogefere said the results reflected the commitment of the company’s employees, continued investment in priority brands, product innovation, improved route-to-market execution and disciplined cost management.
She added that the company’s financial position also improved significantly, with total equity turning positive at N66.6 billion as of May 31, 2026, compared with negative equity of N17.3 billion in the preceding year.
Profit before tax rose to N77.3 billion, while the improvement in profitability was supported by disciplined capital allocation, effective foreign exchange exposure management and the settlement of outstanding debt obligations.
Ogefere said the N77.1 billion operating profit was driven by a combination of organic business performance, currency gains and the disposal of non-core assets.
She expressed appreciation to shareholders for their support during the past 12 months, saying the company had strong brands, an adaptive operating framework and a culture of disciplined execution.
According to her, the Board and management remain focused on sustaining profitable growth, strengthening the balance sheet and creating long-term value for shareholders and other stakeholders.
