Warri, Nigeria – Indigenous Itsekiri businesses are lending their support to the Itsekiri Global Homecoming (IGHC), a week-long cultural and community celebration scheduled for August 16 to 23, 2026, across the Warri Kingdom.
The event is being held under the authority of His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, and under the auspices of The Royal Order of Iwere (ROI).
It will bring together Itsekiri sons and daughters, friends and global allies to celebrate heritage, culture and the future of the Warri Kingdom, while also marking the fifth coronation anniversary of the Olu of Warri.
Among the indigenous brands supporting the Homecoming are Overland Airways, VouchLinks and REYON Water. Overland Airways is assisting with the movement of guests travelling into the region.
VouchLinks, a Nigerian peer-to-peer recommendation platform, is contributing through its digital services. REYON Water is serving as the official Hydration Partner for the various events.
Agile Cycles, an indigenous electric mobility company, has joined as the Official Mobility Partner. The firm will provide support throughout the week, including for a planned Scooter Ride with His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, described as one of the Homecoming’s signature experiences.

Additional partners include MAGGI (Nestlé Nigeria), Sterling Bank, Seaman’s Schnapps, Loatsad Promomedia, Enugu Air and ORÍKÌ, along with other organisations contributing to the event’s organisation.
Ade Mabo, a member of The Royal Order of Iwere and the IGHC organising committee, welcomed the growing support. “It is deeply encouraging to see indigenous Itsekiri brands and organisations nationwide recognise the significance of the Itsekiri Global Homecoming and choose to support it,” he said.
“Their involvement reflects the strength of our entrepreneurial community and the shared belief that we can come together to celebrate our heritage while creating meaningful opportunities for our people and our Kingdom. We are sincerely grateful to every partner lending their platform, expertise and resources to make this Homecoming possible.”
The programme is expected to feature royal pageantry, cultural showcases, culinary experiences, business and development discussions, heritage tours, entertainment and the Royal Warri River Regatta, culminating in celebrations for the Olu’s fifth coronation anniversary.

Organisers say the Homecoming is gaining momentum as a platform for celebrating Iwere heritage, strengthening community ties, supporting enterprise and showcasing the Warri Kingdom.
