Fidelity Bank Plc has entered into a strategic partnership with Aircraft Finance Germany aimed at accelerating the growth of the aviation industry in Nigeria and across Africa.
The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony in Germany, where Christian Hatje signed on behalf of AFG, while Stanley Amuchie represented Fidelity Bank.
Speaking at the event, Hatje described the collaboration as a major step toward strengthening Africa’s aviation sector, noting that the partnership would leverage both firms’ expertise to deliver structured financing solutions.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone in our commitment to Africa’s aviation future. Partnering with Fidelity Bank, we are confident in our ability to structure solutions that will drive meaningful growth across the sector,” he said.
Under the agreement, both organisations will collaborate to identify and finance aviation opportunities across the continent, with a focus on innovative leasing and funding solutions.
The initiative is expected to support airlines and aviation operators in expanding capacity, modernising fleets, and improving operational efficiency.
Amuchie reaffirmed Fidelity Bank’s commitment to the sector, stating that the partnership enhances the bank’s ability to deliver sustainable financing solutions that will drive industry expansion.
The collaboration is also expected to stimulate investment and create long-term opportunities within Africa’s aviation ecosystem, with Nigeria positioned as a key hub for aviation development on the continent.
The partnership aligns with AFG’s broader global expansion strategy, as the firm continues to deepen its presence in international aviation financing markets.
Meanwhile, Fidelity Bank is expected to leverage its established track record in aviation finance, spanning aircraft acquisition, leasing, infrastructure development, and cargo logistics support.
