Nestlé Pure Life has been honoured as the 2025 Product of the Year by Leadership Newspaper, recognising its excellence in quality, innovation, and consumer impact within the bottled water segment.
The award, determined by the newspaper’s editorial board, celebrates products that demonstrate outstanding performance and relevance in their category.
Nestlé Pure Life earned the recognition for its consistent provision of safe drinking water, alongside efforts in sustainability, product innovation, and consumer awareness on clean water access in Nigeria.
The brand’s production process, which includes protected water sourcing, multi-stage purification, and mineral enhancement, was highlighted as a key factor in ensuring quality and safety standards.
Its sustainability drive was also noted, particularly the adoption of 50 per cent recycled PET bottles, recyclable caps, and the introduction of a 33cl bottle tailored for convenience and reduced water wastage.
Commenting on the achievement, Olutayo Olatunji, Business Executive Officer for Nestlé Waters, said the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to delivering value to consumers.
“This award reinforces our dedication to providing a trusted and premium hydration experience that meets the everyday needs of our consumers,” he said.
Victoria Uwadoka, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria Plc, reiterated the company’s environmental commitment, noting that sustainability remains a core focus.
“We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through eco-friendly packaging and responsible production practices,” she said.
