Activities were temporarily halted at the headquarters of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) in Abuja on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, following a fire outbreak at the corporate head office complex.
The incident triggered an immediate emergency response, with fire service personnel swiftly deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and secure the premises.
Authorities confirmed that firefighters acted promptly to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of staff and other occupants within the building.
As a precautionary measure, operations within and around the headquarters were temporarily suspended to allow for safety checks and further assessment of the situation.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage sustained had not been disclosed as of press time.
In a statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Magdalene Omosimua, NAIC apologised to customers and tenants for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
The management expressed appreciation for stakeholders’ understanding and assured the public that normal operations would resume as soon as possible.
