NAIC Resumes Operations After Fire Incident at Abuja Headquarters

The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) has announced that normal business operations will resume on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at its corporate headquarters in Abuja, following a fire outbreak earlier this week.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the corporation said activities were temporarily suspended after a fire incident occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at its head office building.

The suspension, it noted, was necessary to ensure the safety of occupants and safeguard property within and around the premises.

Emergency responders from the Federal Fire Service were swiftly deployed to the scene and successfully contained the fire, preventing further damage and bringing the situation under control.

NAIC management said comprehensive safety assessments were carried out immediately after the incident, alongside necessary precautionary measures to guarantee a secure working environment for staff, tenants and visitors ahead of the reopening.

The corporation expressed appreciation to the fire service for its prompt response and thanked customers, partners and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding during the temporary disruption.

NAIC reaffirmed its commitment to delivering on its mandate and assured stakeholders of uninterrupted service as full operations resume.
