MILO Partners Religious Leaders for 30-Day Ramadan Support Initiative in Northern Nigeria

MILO has launched a 30-day Ramadan gifting campaign across communities in Northern Nigeria, distributing essential food and household items to support families during the holy month.

The initiative, unveiled at a launch event in the region, will see the donation of over one million sampled cups of MILO, more than 1,000 cartons of the beverage, as well as Iftar essentials including prayer mats, prayer kettles and plastic buckets.

The items are being distributed through 100 religious and community leaders overseeing mosques with an average congregation of about 300 worshippers each, to ensure the support reaches families directly.

Speaking at the launch, Gilbert Tweneboah-Koduah, Category Manager for Beverages, said the campaign reflects the brand’s commitment to strengthening its connection with consumers during a spiritually significant period.

“Executing this initiative during Ramadan reflects our commitment to deepening our connection with our consumers. By providing essential items for Iftar, we are supporting families and aligning our actions with the values of care and compassion,” he said.

The campaign is being amplified by MILO ambassadors, including Ahmed Musa, Mansurah Isah, and Sulaimon Bosho, who are promoting messages of unity and generosity throughout the month.

Chairman of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Shehi Mai Hula, commended the initiative, noting that it demonstrates the brand’s commitment beyond commercial interests.

“It’s great to see MILO, a brand we trust, go beyond commercial sales to support those in need during Ramadan. Their donation is helping us reach more people, and we are grateful for their generosity,” he said.

Beyond the Ramadan campaign, MILO continues to drive youth-focused initiatives such as the MILO Building Champs programme, the MILO Building Champs Sports Fest and the MILO Basketball Championship, aimed at empowering young Nigerians and promoting active lifestyles.

MILO is produced by Nestlé Nigeria, a leading food and beverage company in the country.

The company’s portfolio includes brands such as Nestlé Pure Life, Golden Morn, MAGGI and NESCAFÉ, among others.

Nestlé Nigeria says it remains committed to enhancing quality of life through nutritious food and beverages for consumers nationwide.
