SON Leadership Pays Courtesy Visit to Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment

The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, alongside the Chairman of the SON Standards Council, Yahuza Ado Inuwa, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

During the visit, the SON leadership held discussions with the Minister, exploring ways to strengthen collaboration and enhance the implementation of standards in the country.

The Permanent Secretary of FMITI, Nura Abba Rimi, was also in attendance.

The meeting aimed to foster a stronger working relationship between SON and FMITI, with a focus on promoting industrial growth, trade, and investment in Nigeria.

The stakeholders discussed ways to improve the country’s standards and regulatory framework, ensuring compliance with international best practices.

The visit underscores the importance of synergy between government agencies and ministries in driving economic development and promoting Industrialisation in Nigeria.
