SOAN Commends NIMASA for Institutional Reforms

The Shipowners Association of Nigeria (SOAN) has lauded the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) for its reforms aimed at strengthening the maritime sector.

SOAN President, Sonny Eja, made the commendation during a working visit to NIMASA, reaffirming the association’s commitment to partnering with the agency for maritime industry development.

NIMASA Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, emphasised the importance of collaboration and shared capacity development for industry growth.

The visit highlighted the shared commitment of both parties to deepen collaboration and capacity building in Nigeria’s maritime industry.

The SOAN president also expressed the association’s commitment to partnering with NIMASA in the area of fleet expansion, further underscoring the potential for growth and development in the maritime sector.

The meeting between NIMASA management and SOAN executives marked a significant step towards fostering a more robust and collaborative maritime industry.
