The tournament, which took place in Abuja from April 1-14, 2025, was a resounding success, thanks to the NCS’s visionary leadership and commitment to excellence.
In a formal letter CAVB President Bouchra Hajij praised the NCS for setting a new benchmark in sports hosting, redefining excellence and inclusivity on the continental stage.
She described the tournament as a historic milestone, marking the first time in many years the championship was held outside North Africa.
The CAVB commended the NCS for its world-class facilities, seamless logistics, and electrifying atmosphere, which invigorated both participants and spectators.
The event’s success was attributed to the NCS’s strategic planning and generosity, highlighting the importance of empowering women and youth through sport.
The CAVB also praised the NCS’s steadfast commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), noting that the event served as a powerful vehicle for social transformation.
The NCS’s leadership and management team demonstrated a clear understanding of the role of sports in advancing inclusive development.
The CAVB hailed the NCS as “an ample and able partner of African Volleyball,” stating that the 2025 edition of the tournament will leave a lasting legacy and serve as a model for future championships across the continent.
Under the leadership of Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the NCS reaffirms its commitment to supporting platforms that promote inclusion, youth empowerment, and the positive projection of Nigeria on the global stage.
The Service extends its appreciation to all stakeholders, partners, and members of the public who contributed to the event’s success.
