NAMA Partners with Ekiti State Government to Provide Air Traffic Services at New Cargo Airport

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ekiti State Government to provide air traffic services at the newly established Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.

The MOU outlines a joint responsibility, expectation, and standard for air traffic control services, ensuring seamless and efficient operations at the airport.

NAMA’s Managing Director, Engr Farouk Ahmed Umar, emphasized the significance of the MOU, stating that it represents a mutual commitment to excellence and a shared dedication to delivering exceptional results.

He described the MOU as a symbol of action, cooperation, and shared vision, highlighting the importance of upholding the highest standards of quality and performance.

The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, represented the state governor and expressed optimism about the airport’s potential to boost tourism, facilitate smoother and safer air travel, and contribute to economic growth, job creation, and improved connectivity for Ekiti State citizens.

She described the partnership with NAMA as a testament to the shared commitment of both parties to advancing the development of aviation infrastructure and services in Nigeria.
