The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals, David Bird, has said the company’s growing exports of refined petroleum products are reinforcing Nigeria’s position as a net exporter of high-value petroleum products.
Bird said the refinery’s export activities are contributing significantly to the country’s foreign exchange earnings and enhancing its role in the global petroleum products market.
According to him, the refinery’s increasing production and export of premium petroleum products demonstrate the competitiveness of locally refined products in international markets.
He noted that the development is “further strengthening Nigeria’s position as a net exporter of high-value petroleum products.”
The Dangote Refinery, with a refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has been ramping up production and expanding exports to regional and international markets, positioning Nigeria as a major supplier of refined petroleum products across Africa and beyond.
