Nigeria Customs Service Board Approves New Appointments and Promotions 

The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has approved the appointment of new management members and special promotions at its 64th Regular Meeting held on November 25, 2025.

The board, headed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Economy, Wale Edun, confirmed the appointment of five Deputy Comptroller-Generals of Customs (DCGs) and eight Assistant Comptroller-Generals of Customs (ACGs).

The newly appointed DCGs include Baba Imam, Isah Umar, Tijjani Abe, Timi Bomodi, and Oluyomi Adebakin, who will strengthen strategic leadership across formations.

The eight ACGs appointed include C.G. Ogbonna, I. Abba-Aji, G.M. Haruna, E.J. Edelduok, G. Gaura, I. Isyaku, M.S. Shuaibu, and M.D. Malah.

The Board also approved special promotions for ten officers who demonstrated exceptional professionalism, leadership, and outstanding service performance.

The promoted officers include A.C. Fanyam, G.M. Shidali, S. Omofoma, O.A. Oladepo, A.Y. Musa, A. Ogboru, A.A. Maiwada, C.N. Essien, H. Aliyu, and A.S. Shofadekan.

The appointments and promotions are part of the Service’s efforts to strengthen leadership succession, enhance morale, and ensure that the Service remains responsive to emerging trade, security, and administrative challenges.
