The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) is set to host its 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) from October 14 to 16, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The theme for this year’s AGM is “Nigeria First: Prioritizing Patronage of Made in Nigeria,” underscoring MAN’s commitment to promoting local production and sustainable growth.
The AGM will feature Aliko Dangote, Africa’s leading industrialist and President/CEO of the Dangote Group, as the Distinguished Guest Speaker.
Dangote’s presence is expected to inspire discussions on the next phase of Nigeria’s industrial growth, and his business decisions over the years have captured the essence of the “Nigeria First” spirit.
The AGM will include a Made in Nigeria Exhibition, which will showcase over 100 exhibitors and attract thousands of visitors.
The exhibition will be officially opened by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume CON.
The AGM will also feature a value addition panel discussion on 3D Manufacturing & Risk and Enterprise Management, designed to give credible accounts to members and sensitize them on thriving in the business of manufacturing.
The 5th edition of the Adeola Odutola Lecture/Presidential Luncheon will take place on October 16, 2025, with Alhaji Aliko Dangote as the Distinguished Guest Speaker.
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will be the Special Guest of Honour.
MAN believes that the “Nigeria First” Policy represents a turning point for Nigeria, one that seeks to foster economic self-reliance, industrialization, and national pride.
By prioritizing locally manufactured goods and services, the policy aims to strengthen local industries, deepen local value chains, and reposition Nigeria from a consumer-driven economy to a productive economy.
MAN is urging stakeholders to support the “Nigeria First” Policy and prioritize patronage of made-in-Nigeria products.
The association believes that this policy has the potential to drive sustainable growth, employment generation, and national development.
With the AGM and exhibition, MAN aims to provoke critical discussions, foster partnerships, and highlight the urgency of implementing the “Nigeria First” Policy.
