Zenith Bank Unveils Tech Fair 6.0, Challenges Nigerians to Embrace AI

Zenith Bank Plc has announced the sixth edition of its flagship technology event, Zenith Bank Tech Fair 2026, with a call on Nigerians to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) and adapt to emerging technological trends.

The event, tagged Future Forward 6.0, is scheduled to hold virtually on Thursday, November 5, 2026, under the theme, “AI: Embrace or Extinct.”

According to the bank, this year’s edition will explore the growing influence of AI and its implications for individuals, businesses and the wider digital economy.

The annual Tech Fair brings together technology leaders, entrepreneurs, developers and young innovators to showcase emerging solutions, exchange ideas and explore opportunities in the technology ecosystem.

Conceived by the bank’s Founder, Jim Ovia, the initiative reflects his vision of empowering young Nigerians through technology and supporting innovators in developing solutions with global relevance.

The programme also underscores Zenith Bank’s commitment to digital transformation and the development of Nigeria’s technology sector.

Over the years, the Tech Fair has provided a platform for emerging technology companies to showcase solutions to real-world challenges, with previous participants benefiting from prize funding, mentorship and opportunities to develop their innovations.

Among past winners is JumpnPass, which developed a self-checkout solution for the retail sector, while CreditChek leverages AI and open banking technology to simplify credit verification.

At the 2025 edition, TrustLoop emerged winner of the hackathon with its digital identity verification solution, while Cubbes Technologies won the startup pitch competition with its AI-powered educational technology platform.

Zenith Bank said the initiative continues to support promising innovators by providing opportunities to refine their ideas, develop practical solutions and contribute to technological advancement.

For the first time since its inception, the Tech Fair will be held entirely virtually, a move expected to expand participation beyond geographical boundaries and provide wider access to technology enthusiasts and innovators across Nigeria and other countries.

The 2026 edition will examine how individuals and organisations can harness AI to improve productivity, drive innovation and remain competitive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Participants will also have the opportunity to explore emerging innovations, gain insights into technological developments and engage with ideas shaping the future of work and business.

The event will be accessible through Zoom and the bank’s social media platforms, including Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

Zenith Bank has encouraged technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, businesses and other interested participants to register at www.zenithbank.com/techfair for the event and be part of discussions on the future of artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
