Fidelity Bank Plc is set to conclude its 2026 Quarterly Business Forum series with an Abuja edition aimed at equipping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with strategies for sustainable growth, improved governance and business expansion.
The forum, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja, will bring together entrepreneurs, business owners, industry experts and other stakeholders to explore opportunities for strengthening businesses in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Themed “Building Sustainable Businesses, Unlocking Growth, Governance and Opportunity in the FCT,” the event will focus on practical approaches to improving business performance, building resilience and positioning enterprises for long-term success.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Divisional Head of SME Banking at Fidelity Bank, Mrs Ugochi Osinigwe, said sustainable business growth depends on access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and strong professional networks.
Osinigwe explained that the bank established the Quarterly Business Forum to provide entrepreneurs with practical insights, business connections and opportunities to strengthen their operational capacity.
“At Fidelity Bank, we recognise that sustainable business growth requires a combination of access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and the ability to identify and maximise emerging opportunities,” she said.
She added that the forum provides a platform for business owners to acquire relevant skills, improve their capabilities and connect with opportunities that support long-term growth.
According to her, the Abuja edition will highlight the importance of building well-structured businesses capable of adapting to changing market conditions, improving operational efficiency and expanding their operations.
The event will also provide participants with opportunities to engage with relevant stakeholders and explore strategies for improving competitiveness and business resilience.
Fidelity Bank said the Abuja forum would build on the outcomes of previous editions held across the country in 2026, which focused on promoting business engagement, knowledge sharing and sustainable enterprise development.
The bank supports entrepreneurs through its SME Banking proposition and SME Hub, which offer capacity-building programmes, advisory services, networking opportunities and financial solutions tailored to the needs of businesses.
The initiative forms part of the bank’s broader efforts to strengthen the capacity of small businesses and improve their access to resources needed to grow and remain competitive.
The forum is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Barcelona Hotel, No. 23 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja.
