Zenith Bank Opens Digital, Branch Channels for Dangote Refinery IPO

Zenith Bank Plc has opened its digital and physical banking channels to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora seeking to subscribe to the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.

The bank, which is a receiving bank and designated electronic application channel for the offer, said prospective investors can submit applications through its website, mobile app, internet banking, USSD, corporate internet banking platforms and branches nationwide.

Applications for the landmark offer are expected to open on Monday, September 14, 2026, and remain open for 30 days, closing on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

According to the offer prospectus, the shares are priced at ₦525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, equivalent to ₦5,250.

The offer is targeting ₦2.15 trillion, which would make it the largest equity offering ever undertaken on the African continent.

The prospectus also provides for a Retail Investor Incentive Programme under which qualifying retail investors who subscribe and hold their shares may receive bonus shares, subject to regulatory approvals and the applicable terms of the offer.

Zenith Bank said its 456 branches and 84 cash centres, alongside its digital platforms, would provide investors with multiple channels for participating in the offer.

The bank added that subscriptions would be linked to investors’ Bank Verification Numbers (BVNs), providing an additional layer of identification and security throughout the application and allotment process.

Zenith Bank said its experience with digital transactions would also support its role in processing applications for the offer, noting that its most recent public offering was executed largely through digital channels.

The bank said it has subsequently strengthened its technology infrastructure through a comprehensive upgrade aimed at improving service delivery to retail customers.

Within the wider Dangote Refinery transaction, Quantum Zenith Capital & Investments Limited is among the joint issuing houses, while Zenith Bank is serving as a receiving bank and electronic application channel.

The bank urged prospective investors to study the offer prospectus and applicable regulations before subscribing and, where necessary, seek independent professional advice.

Interested subscribers can participate by opening or funding an existing Zenith Bank account and making payment through the bank’s approved electronic channels before the offer closes on October 13, 2026.
