Fidelity Bank Plc has partnered with MONAT to sponsor the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free educational programme designed to equip children with practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The camp, scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, will provide children aged four to 10 with hands-on learning experiences focused on creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving.
According to the organisers, participants will be introduced to age-appropriate STEM concepts through guided build sessions, interactive experiments and other practical activities aimed at stimulating curiosity and fostering innovation. The programme will also include small-group mentoring sessions, financial literacy classes, creative workshops and confidence-building exercises.
Speaking on the partnership, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to preparing young Nigerians for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
“The future will be shaped by those who can solve problems, think creatively and harness technology to improve lives. At Fidelity Bank, we believe these abilities should be nurtured from an early age. Through the Young Innovators Camp, we are giving children the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a fun, practical and engaging way that inspires curiosity, builds confidence and encourages innovation,” he said.
Nwagboh added that investing in STEM education is a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, noting that today’s young learners would become tomorrow’s engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs and technology leaders.
He said the collaboration with MONAT aligns with Fidelity Bank’s mission of helping individuals grow, thrive and prosper while contributing to national development through education and youth empowerment.
According to the bank, the initiative builds on its broader corporate social responsibility agenda, which focuses on education, skills development and expanding opportunities for children and young people. It also complements existing interventions such as the SWEETA programme, aimed at supporting children’s education and development.
At the end of the camp, each participant will receive a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials to encourage continued learning beyond the classroom.
Participation in the programme is free, with parents and guardians encouraged to register children between the ages of four and 10 for the camp.
