CICAN Celebrates Lagos Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde at 62

The Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) has congratulated the Lagos State Chief of Staff, Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, on his 62nd birthday.

In a congratulatory message dated August 24, 2026, the association’s National Chairman, Taiwo Ademola Hassan, and Secretary-General, Olufemi Orioye, described Ayinde as a dependable public servant and a key figure in the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

CICAN commended the Chief of Staff for his years of dedicated service to Lagos State, highlighting his commitment, loyalty, administrative experience and contributions to public service.

The association said Ayinde had played a significant role in coordinating government activities, strengthening relations between the executive and various stakeholders, and supporting policies and programmes aimed at promoting economic growth, good governance and development across the state.

CICAN, which comprises more than 100 journalists across the print, broadcast and online media, also acknowledged Ayinde’s support for the media and his openness to journalists covering commerce, industry and government activities.

The association noted that his efforts had contributed to creating an enabling environment for stakeholders in the business and industrial sectors.

CICAN reaffirmed its commitment to promoting commerce, industry and economic development through responsible journalism, while commending Ayinde for his contributions to the state’s development.

The association prayed for continued good health, wisdom, strength and renewed grace for Ayinde as he continues to serve Lagos State and Nigeria.

It also wished the Chief of Staff greater accomplishments, fulfilment and prosperity in the years ahead.
