LASTCOC Praises NPA Management for Improved Traffic Flow at Apapa Port

The Lagos State Truck and Cargo Operators Committee (LASTCOC) has commended the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) management for their efforts in improving traffic flow at the Apapa Port.

The committee praised the Apapa Port Manager’s round-the-clock presence, which has significantly enhanced the movement of export trucks into the Lagos Port Complex (LPC).

According to LASTCOC, despite ongoing repair works on the Marine Bridge, which had caused gridlock along the Ijora-Apapa access roads, the NPA management has ensured seamless movement of vehicles, reducing congestion at the Export Processing Terminals (EPTs).

LASTCOC Chairman, Shittu Lukmon, described the Apapa Port Manager’s commitment and dedication to duty as commendable, noting that the trucking community has every reason to support his efforts towards ensuring a more efficient port system.

Lukmon praised the port manager’s hands-on approach, citing his presence at the port on weekends to ensure smooth operations.

The LASTCOC statement highlighted the positive impact of the NPA’s daily 24-hour engagement on traffic conditions, easing congestion and facilitating the movement of inward and outward vehicles along the Apapa corridor.
