The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of physical screening and documentation for successful candidates enlisted in its ongoing recruitment exercise.
The Service said the exercise will take place at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, candidates were directed to appear for the exercise with the originals and photocopies of relevant documents.
The required documents include the National Identification Number (NIN), birth certificate or declaration of age, and educational certificates, including O’Level, ND, HND, degree and other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also expected to present their Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed Guarantor’s Form and NYSC Certificate, where applicable.
The NCS further directed candidates to appear in white T-shirts, shorts and canvas shoes.
According to the Service, shortlisted candidates must report strictly on the dates allocated to their respective states and cadres, warning that attendance at the screening and documentation exercise is compulsory.
The Service said failure to appear as scheduled could result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
It added that candidates who successfully complete the exercise would receive further instructions on subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
The NCS, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, assured candidates and the general public of a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process.
The Service also urged applicants to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information regarding the recruitment exercise.
